I live in Belgium. I am on Route 66...

The artworks I make are mainly in colored pencil, ink and watercolor, also collages (mixed media). I started in 1988 and made my last drawing in 2014 (#1796). I had stopped because of gout attacks in my hands. I never took lessons except from my father, a heimat painter, who is a famous artist in the area. So I can call myself a self-taught artist.

Anno 2022 I try to rework and/or retouch earlier works (1988-2014) with digital painting. The gout has also improved and I regularly make new drawings/paintings in mixed media and collages.

The artwork is mainly music inspired. Musical heroes who inspired much of my drawings, paintings and collages are The Beatles, Elton John, Dire Straits, to name just a few… names from a generation going back to the 60s, 70s and 80s. I'm also a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe. I was just a child when she died.

I spent two wonderful years in Arizona from 2008-2010. The desert life, cacti, mountains, wide landscapes... the Wild West, the Grand Canyon. Those were the best days of my life. I hope to return there one beautiful day, but that is more than likely years from now.

 Thank you for visiting.
