This original watercolor painting features a steam locomotive billowing colorful steam as it pulls into the station on the tracks. The engine has a beautiful green hue that contrasts with the brown passenger cars, and the conductor is at his post, ready to welcome travelers. The vibrant colors and dynamic composition of this painting make it a stunning piece of art that will instantly transform any room. The colorful steam attracted me to paint this particular train which was inspired by the great Howard Fogg. A great gift for that man in your life.

I spray all my watercolor paintings with an acrylic sealant so no need for glass when you frame this painting.

I have it backed with foam core for stiffness so it will be ready for you to frame and hang in your home or office

I am Paula Bridges, born and raised in Texas. My favorite thing to do is to combine my art with travel. Having worked in the airline industry since 1986, I have been able to combine these two passions. Although I do  plein air painting, my main practice is to take photos and bring them back to my studio where I bury myself in watercolor. My love for watercolor has grown out of the challenge it presents. Water and pigment flow in a semi uncontrolled way and I enjoy creating a painting from this process using bold bright colors with different levels of value. I do like to paint animals; however, landscapes are my love with a never ending supply of subjects from all over the world. After I complete a painting, I always send it to my 86 year old mother to critique. She was my first inspiration to paint being an artist herself.
