My name is Oksana Shkrebets. I am Ukrainian. I started my creative journey at the beginning of 2021. And no, not because of quarantine and free time. I worked a lot then, but still, creativity came from somewhere inside. Since then, I have been constantly learning and improving my artistic skills. I mostly draw flowers, they have so much inspiration and life! I mainly work with watercolor, as well as oil and charcoal.
When the war started, it was difficult for me, like most, to return to creativity. It was unbearable to see people suffering and dying. At the beginning, I wanted to draw black flowers, it very vividly conveyed the inner state. However, this was not what I wanted to broadcast to the world.
Instead, after some time, when the inner support and confidence in victory strengthened, I realized that I wanted to continue showing the beauty of the surrounding world. No wonder I started with this.
Watching flowers, I feel peace and harmony. I rejoice with the flowers that open to meet the new day, no matter what. And it is these feelings that I broadcast through my works.
