David Lachavanne est né en 1978 à Annemasse, en France. Il vit et travaille en Haute Ariège. Diplômé du DNSEP des Beaux Arts de Toulouse en 2003, ses créations se sont affirmés vers une pratique que l’on pourrait qualifier d’Art contextuel. Ayant participé régulièrement à des résidences d’artiste ou lors de workshop dans différents établissements, il privilégie souvent la création dans ses dimensions participatives. * Il développe et expose ses projets en France, Galerie GHP à Toulouse, association La Biz’ArtRit à Foix, lors de résidence artistique, L’Art est dans les bois en Bretagne, Centre d’art l’Atelier Blanc en Aveyron, Couleur(s) d’Automne en Haute Savoie, Chemin d’Art en Armagnac dans le Gers, Jardin des Arts en Bretagne, Sentier sculpturale de Mayronnès, ou de Symposiums, 1er prix du public lors du 5eme Symposium de Silly en Belgique, 1er prix de Jury au Symposium de Cunlhat en Auvergne. Il a pu répondre à plusieurs commandes publiques ou privées, Mairie de Lyon, Lycée horticole de Saintes et dans le cadre du dispositif dédié au 1 % artistique en Ariège. Il est l’un des membres fondateurs de l’association La Biz’ArtRit, créée en 2014 en Ariège, qui propose différentes actions autour de l’Art Contemporain.
