Cette peinture en lavis de tempera et aquarelle noire en nuances de gris est peinte sur un papier anglais des plus renommés 300g/m. Il a la particularité d'être tendu sur une toile de lin et châssis de premier choix. Tendu et non pas collé ce qui serait préjudiciable dans le temps. Cette art de tendre la papier était pratiqué par les artistes aquarellistes recherchant à peindre sur des grands formats sans que la surface se déforme. L'aspect est parfaitement plan, lisse, contemporain, donnant au papier une résistance insoupçonnée telle qu'il est utilisé depuis des siècles en extrême-orient. L'œuvre est encadrée dans un cadre de type caisse américaine noir satiné avec un espace entre les bords de l'œuvre et le cadre de 1cm créant un effet de profondeur. La moulure frontale argent mesure 1cm d'épaisseur. L'épaisseur totale est de 4 cm.
