Michaela Haider is a young photographer specializing in fine art and portraiture. In March 2012, she began photographing conceptual and fine art images after photographing portraits of friends and falling in love with the outcome and the stories she could tell going forward. Since then, I've been fascinated by the interplay of the human form, nature, and light.
Her work is centered on the interaction of humans and nature. What began as surrealistic storytelling evolved into an interest in the human self in relationship to nature. This investigation has generated new questions, which she attempts to articulate through her images. They are an attempt to reintroduce the soul through stories and a sense of connection to nature.
Michaela Haider was born in 1996 in Austria and now resides in Berlin, Germany. She is an aspiring photographer who is self-taught. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Austria, Germany, and Finland. She has won numerous awards (Phlearn - Natural Light Contest Winner in 2013, 17th Julia Margaret Cameron Award For Women Photographers - Honorable Mention in 2021), and her work has appeared in numerous publications.
