Materiali
Vetro di Murano.
Tecnica
Vetrofusione e lavorazione a lume.

Marco Scaramuzza is a contemporary Italian artist. A versatile artist and master glassmaker, he combines a love for Murano glass with his background as a painter. Born in the beautiful city of Venice, from a young age he followed his father's great passion for Murano glass, falling in love with this precious material tied to the traditions of his land. After his studies, he began collaborating with some of the most representative glass companies in contemporary Murano glass design, historic brands such as VeArt and Vistosi. Focusing his interest on the technical aspects of glassworking and decoration, on research, design, and the study of this material, he started designing and creating furniture and lighting objects for national and international companies. In 2002, he was given the prestigious assignment by the European Community and the Ministry of Equal Opportunities to coordinate courses in Venice aimed at promoting female employment and the development of artisanal glass workshops for this purpose. In 2003, he finally started his own artistic workshop. Besides painting, he uses the techniques of glass fusion, lampworking, and engraving, enriching many of his works with precious silver leaves that, coupled with colored glass sheets, become the canvas on which he draws and paints. The engraving combined with other artistic glass techniques allows him to freely express his creativity and imagination in the paintings, objects, and sculptures that make up his collections. His research involves and excites him, stimulating him to find new forms of artistic expression in original and unique works. His works have participated in various international events and exhibitions and are present in showrooms in many Italian and foreign cities. Each piece evokes the soul and spirit of the material, captivating the viewer with its brilliance and infinite reflections
