Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1963, Lion Bamon moved with his family to artistic Saint-Germain-des-Prés at the age of 11. On the way to Jacques Prévert college in rue Saint-Benoit in Paris 6th district, some fifty gallery windows educate his mind. Rue de Buci, rue de Seine, rue Jacob, place Fürstenberg… and the Faculty of Fine Arts is a stone's throw away. Often he comes to a stop in front of a canvas exposed to passers-by. Very quickly, he envisioned the creative professions. The Preparatory Art School at 10 bis rue de Seine in Paris 6e accepts his application. He spent two fascinating years there. With the Beaux-Arts competition in hand, he joined the Pierre Carron workshop "a great teacher who spoke so wonderfully about painting". The smell, the silence, the concentration, the reflection ... and in the 80s, there was still magic to penetrate into the heart of this so-called "classic" workshop. With patience, he learns the mastery of glazes, nudes in the amphitheater, charcoal and does not count his hours spent in the scent of turpentine.
