Joan Vollmer was common-law married to a famous writer William S. Burroughs. They had a very difficult and toxic relationship due to constant drug abuse and domestic violence.
"Joan was killed by her husband at the age of 28. Burroughs shot Vollmer in the head, allegedly while trying to shoot a glass he had asked her to balance on her head during a drunken William Tell act. The couple were performing it at a drinking party. The couple's four-year-old son, William Burroughs Jr., was in the room when the incident occurred".
In a 1954 letter to Ginsberg, Burroughs wrote about his fears that he had subconsciously wanted to kill Vollmer: "May yet attempt a story or some account of Joan's death. I think I am afraid. Not exactly to discover unconscious intent, it's more complex, more basic, and more horrible, as if the brain drew the bullet toward it."

Art had always been huge part of my life and my true passion. I attended my first art class at the age of 2 y.o. and hadn't stopped creating since then.
I like to experiment with materials and techniques, to explore controversial topics through art. The world is very complicated and I believe that only your own feelings and inner voice can guide you through this chaos - that is why all of my works are very sincere and personal.
In my home country we have a very conservative academic art traditions. I had academic art classes at children's art school for years and later I also had a lot of academic drawing and painting at university. And of course it influenced my art and personal style in some way. But I have never ever regretted about getting education. In my opinion, if you want to break the rules for real, you should learn them first!
