Kristsina Khramaya was born in Minsk, Belarus, in 1994.
At the beginning of her journey, used the pseudonym HROMYS, under which she created her works from 2017 to 2021. In 2022 I changed my pseudonym to "CHROMA", after 1948 during the process of "Russification" the surname of my family on my father's side was changed, so changing my pseudonym is a tribute to my roots, and a desire to connect the past and the present.
My paintings aim to explore freedom as a concept, especially in the context of the nude body. I use the nude body as a symbol and reflection of feelings and emotions, and an attempt to free art from censorship, I aim to destroy stereotypes and prejudices associated with the body in order to draw attention to the underlying ideas of freedom and self-expression. Through paintings, I want to show that freedom does not have to be constrained by boundaries or prohibitions, and that it can exist in any form.
I also focus on the connection between the inner and outer world. By exploring this connection, I seek to understand how our inner thoughts, feelings and emotions are reflected in our outward appearance and interactions with the world around us.
