Nature, the main source of fascination and inspiration for the artist. Flower petals, their beauty, an endless palette of colors and forms, details and structures discovered at every stage of vegetation. Petals and nature are just like our lives. Beautiful and fleeting at the same time, maturing over time, becoming more expressive, changing scent, color and texture. Flower petals, as the artist says, are anonymous people more or less known to us, but they are all somewhere around us. We come into contact with them every day, sometimes we don't know them at all, we don't know their history. On the surface they may seem different from us, but deep down we are very similar. We have similar fears, similar joys. We go through similar stages in life and experiences. We are affected by the same transience of things. Flower petals are just a romantic excuse for deeper, sometimes difficult stories. The cycle of life in nature is fascinating. Each stage can be a blessing and a curse at the same time. Everyone has their rights. It is worth making friends with him and getting the best from him. Don't resist, don't fight. Give in and see what happens. Nature can be a guide and teacher of letting go, acceptance, understanding life and the world. All we need to do is immerse ourselves in it, surrender, lift ourselves and accept what is given to us. The subtle play of light and shadow, delicate contrasts, sensitive blending of colors into each other, a record of emotions and feelings - all this can be seen so clearly in the artist's canvases. Shades of blue dominate, building the mood, with moments of anxiety and horror. Combined with a penetrating, blurring palette of all shades of pink, the starting point of which is the fascination with flower petals. The series of paintings by Katarzyna Stopińska presented at the exhibition was initiated last year. Paintings painted in mixed techniques on raw cotton canvas bring to mind freedom and the dynamism of changing life. The permeability of things is not only the title of the exhibition, but also one of the four series of paintings on which the artist is working.
