Jean-Christophe Sylvos, born in 1961 and living in France, is a versatile artist, specializing in engraving, drawing and painting. He acquired his training in intaglio engraving at the Parenthese (2010-14), 53 (2014-16), Sfumato (2016-17) and Contrepoint (2017-2020) workshops.
His artistic work is influenced by a multitude of great masters such as Dürer, Menzel, Bosch, Schiele, Klimt, Daumier, Magritte, Molitz and Hopper. In his works, he primarily explores monochrome landscapes, offering a unique perspective on nature and the world around him, while incorporating social and political satire as well as a touch of dreaminess.
Member of the Taylor Foundation, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Artistes Français, Jean-Christophe Sylvos actively participates in many renowned art fairs, such as the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Artistes Français, the Salon du Dessin and Watercolor Painting, and many more. He received several distinctions for his work, including a bronze medal at the French Artists, a bronze medal and the Press Prize at the Art'East fair, as well as a mention at the Puy en Velay fair and the First Prize in drawing at the Lyon show in 2017.
