Emmanuel Jarre, a contemporary French artist, has cultivated a rich and diverse artistic journey that encompasses applied arts, architecture, design, video games, and painting. Born with a passion for creativity, he embarked on his artistic education in Paris at the Lycée Auguste Renoir, honing his skills in Applied Arts. His educational journey continued in Marseille at the Lycée Diderot, where he further refined his artistic talents.
In the early stages of his career, Jarre immersed himself in the architectural realm, contributing his skills to various firms from Marseille to Monaco. However, the allure of design and video games proved irresistible, leading him to pursue a Master of Digital Design in England. This decision marked a pivotal moment as he transitioned into the dynamic field of video game design.
By 2002, Emmanuel Jarre had ascended to the role of Artistic Director in the realm of video games, a position where he contributed to the creation of titles for diverse gaming consoles. Despite the demands of his professional life, he remained committed to his personal artistic pursuits, delving into the realms of painting and photography. Simultaneously, he accepted commissions from various theater companies, showcasing the breadth of his artistic versatility.
The pursuit of knowledge and artistic growth continued to drive Jarre. Eager to deepen his understanding of visual arts, he pursued a second Master's degree in Visual Arts at the Paul Valéry University of Montpellier. This additional academic achievement paved the way for his next significant role as a Teacher in Plastic Arts within the national education system.
In 2008, Emmanuel Jarre embarked on a deeply personal painting project centered around the theme "The images that haunt our imagination." This marked a pivotal moment where his artistic exploration took on a more introspective and thematic focus. Through his paintings, Jarre sought to unravel and depict the enigmatic and haunting images that reside within the human imagination.
