DARING RED (2021) Sculpture by Elena Jurkowska

Elena Jurkowska is a contemporary Polish artist. Jurkowska creates abstract and expressive wall decorations. She tries to capture and portray beauty as she perceives it. Wood, stone, leather, fabrics, and metal are some of the materials she employs. Line and texture are the two key elements in her artwork. She admires the accuracy of geometry, adores solids and simplified shapes, and prefers the homogeneity of materials.

Upcycling art, Sustainable design, Design sustainable, and Slow fashion are her taglines. She breathes new life into artistic visions as well as materials. She sometimes creates works that celebrate the great masters of 20th-century art, and other times she is drawn to primitive, naive art.

Elena Jurkowska was born in 1984, in Poland, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
