La particularité de cette lampe réside dans les hésitations qu'elle suscite. Architecture? Sculpture?
La progression irrégulière d'une base massive et découpée, jusqu'à des sommets élancés comme à la poursuite du ciel, ne vous fait elle pas penser à un quartier de Manhattan?
La lumière rougeoyante qui sort de cet édifice ne ressemble-t-elle pas à un incendie gigantesque au milieu de tours qui semblent bien fragiles?
Fermez les yeux, la féerie d'une ville illuminée vous apparaîtra sans doute. Plus haute, plus fine mais robuste à la fois et pleine de vie, voila comment on pourrait qualifier cette sculpture lumineuse qui occupe à elle seule un espace insoupçonné.
Fermez les yeux encore une fois, vous la voyez déjà chez vous, prête à vous révéler toute votre imagination et vous emmener dans un champ onirique peu commun.

Denys Mollard is a contemporary French artist. Initially a cabinetmaker, then a model maker, he became an interior designer and, passionate about wood and materials, he began to imagine a line of wooden lamps to enhance the interiors.
Mollard’s wood lamp design collection uses simple, geometric shapes, clean, slender lines to allow wood to take on its full value. Wood in its most varied species: teak, pine, oak, beech, walnut, sipo, Wengé, Iroko, is not only used as a form support, but as a building material.
His creations are more like sculptures than simple objects to pose. To give them a raison d'être that goes beyond mere aesthetics and gives them the characteristic of design in the true sense of the term, he adds light, thanks to LED bulbs that give his creations another useful life.
