Carlos Duque is a contemporary Colombian painter, known for his unique blend of geometry and cubism applied to realism. Born in 1988 in Mérida, Venezuela, he later became a nationalized citizen of Colombia. From a young age, Duque exhibited a profound interest in coloring and painting. Remarkably, he taught himself the basics of painting. Recognizing his budding talent, his mother enrolled him in formal drawing and painting classes at the age of nine, where he studied for three years.
Throughout his early years, Duque’s artistic creations were predominantly kept within his family, cherished as personal treasures. However, in 2017, he decided to share his art with the wider world. Since then, he has been dedicated to refining his technique, focusing particularly on the integration of geometric forms and cubist influences into his realistic portrayals.
