In the wake of a journey to the Dnipro River, a vision was born - "Lilies on the Water" - a series infused with the essence of August's bloom. Yet, while the river's beauty may have sparked the flame, it is in the artist interpretation that true creation takes flight. For in the dance of color and form, it is not merely nature's brushstrokes that paint the scene, but that guides the symphony of hues. While the juxtaposition of blue waters and pink lilies may indeed evoke a sense of harmony, it is the artist's discerning eye that brings forth the true poetry of the moment, weaving together contrasts and textures to create a canvas that resonates with the soul. Thus, "Lilies on the Water" is not merely a reflection of nature's grace, but a testament to the transformative power of artistry, where the beauty of the world meets the brilliance of the human spirit.

The series "Lilies on the Water" appeared in my mind after a trip to the Dnipro River, when in August the river with lilies began to bloom, it looks very graceful, natural, and the colors that nature throws up are contrasted and harmoniously combined with each other, such as blue water with emerald green and pink lilies blooming as if on lettuce leaves floating on water

My Acrylic painting on Stretched Canvas, using mainly palette knife and Acrylic paints.
I like using palette knife for effects of splatter and color saturation.

Of course, I walk around the city and watch all the time. It doesn't matter if I travel in my city or somewhere, I see places that are interesting in terms of color, composition and especially in terms of content. I like to paint more crowded places where meetings or some walks usually take place.
