"Washington Square Park in New York is a place where people, especially young people, meet in their free time to take a break from the daily hustle and bustle, at least for a while.
The young, the old, those who know each other and those who do not yet know and debate about life, sports, school, politics, philosophy, their joys or worries meet here. Men exchange views about women and women exchange about men.
New acquaintances, new friendships, new loves are born here. Some of them may last for years or a lifetime.
Washington square park connects people. Regardless of gender, regardless of age, regardless of social status. Everyone is equal here and everyone feels free.
Every place on earth should be like that. It is up to us to be inspired to create similar places where everyone will feel at HOME."

Zsombor Barakonyi is a contemporary Hungarian painter. His unique visual language offers viewers new levels of perceiving reality, in which, by overwriting conventional approaches, he builds a dialectic relationship between content and objectuality.
Barakonyi‘s works are postmodern panel paintings depicting visions of metropolitan flâneur. The depicted scene is always a snapshot, capturing a moment in the urban hubbub and commotion, which reveals itself through a model of perception whose anchoring points have been shifted into a new balance.
Zsombor Barakonyi was born in 1972, in Budapest, Hungary. After graduating from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and also earning a Doctor of Liberal Arts degree there, Barakonyi went on to win numerous awards and prizes.
