Mention of Honour London Art Biennale 2017. Loving and caring after our selves and nature requires absolute commitment, respect and inspiration. The phrase "If you do not look after yourself how are you going to look after someone else" is absolutely right. Air, Sea, regular water, land, forests and all kind of species must be protected. It has to become our mandate. To custody of microorganisms, viruses, bacteria, insects, animals, plants, trees in this unique Planet Earth has to be fundamental. Every being matters and this is the most crucial moment in history to protect what we have in our environment. This mixed media painting has a nude young couple as its protagonists, it is obvious they are in love and they are fishing in a stunning day, the sun is shining, there is not any clouds in the sky and the trees on the beach complement this sublime scenario . This is an idyllic and a dramatic story, while they are enjoying catching the fish with a massive net, there are some live fishes inside the boat, who are agonising and they are staring at the pair for help, desperately to get saved for the reason that they are dying. This composition is an appeal to everyone of us to keep and to conserve our world in safe hands. Some animals are in danger and we have to be conscious of our own future, as we would be part of a general extinction which affects everybody. Animals do not judge, compare or discriminate they have something that human beings cannot understand and it is called acceptance and when they do it, they live in a present time, they are just now acting and behaving because their attention is there at all times. When a person observes to this painting they can contemplate and think how we are endangering our future and appreciate the magnificence of nature, beauty and to reflect on it. As we need to embrace our habitats.

In 1970 Ariel Chavarro Avila was born in the Central Andes Mountains in Colombia. His love for nature, art, texture and colour began as a child drawing and painting animals and landscapes. He attended both the Fashion Design Arturo Tejada Cano School followed by Universidad de los Andes where he specialised in Fine Arts and in 2017 he became a Master in Fine Arts. He is an environmental contemporary minimalist artist working in the medium of painting particularly with Oil and Watercolour. Chavarro has been exhbiting in solo shows and collective exhibitions across the globe. Ariel has been awarded in diverse art competitions. Avila has been collaborating with art galleries, art dealers, museums and foundations worldwide. Ariel has been campaigning to plant millions and billions of trees everywhere in the world.
