El hombre, con su sombrero adornado y su mirada distante, parece personificar la arrogancia, envuelto en su propia autoimportancia, como un pavo real que muestra su plumaje en un acto de vanidad sin igual.
La mujer, cuyos adornos florales y vestido amarillo resplandecen con un brillo solar, parece confrontar a su compañero. Su postura cerrada y expresión seria sugieren un reproche que busca atravesar la burbuja de auto admiración de él. No obstante, el hombre, perdido en su soberbia, parece desviar la mirada, eludiendo el conflicto y manteniendo su orgullo intacto.
El pavo real, posicionado entre ellos, no es simplemente un testigo, sino un reflejo del hombre mismo: su majestuosidad y belleza se vuelven símbolos de una confianza que raya en la arrogancia, un recordatorio de cómo la grandiosidad puede desviarse hacia la auto exaltación. La opulencia de su plumaje, al igual que la vestimenta del hombre, es espectacular, pero advierte sobre los peligros de un ego inflado.
Esta obra no solo retrata la dicotomía de la soberbia y el conflicto interpersonal, sino que también plantea una meditación sobre el diálogo entre los géneros y los roles que desempeñan en la danza del orgullo y la humildad. Es una imagen que invita a reflexionar sobre las capas de la comunicación humana y cómo la soberbia puede crear barreras invisibles, pero palpables, entre las personas.

Hello! I am Ariela Alez, an emerging Uruguayan artist.
My art is a fusion of traditional and modern techniques, where acrylics are intertwined with digital art and artificial intelligence image generation, creating a canvas of infinite possibilities. It is a constant dialogue between tradition and innovation, a playing field where shape and color intertwine, creating new stories.
In my work, I seek to express a spectrum of emotions, thoughts and concepts that unfold through my brush. It is a search for my identity, an exploration of what it means to "BE URUGUAYAN".
It is a journey through figurative neo-cubism and digital expression. The software I use is mainly Photoshop and of course Midjourney and Stable Diffusion as the most prominent image generation AIs. But I have also ventured into many others such as DEEP DREAM GENERATOR, LEONARDO AI, LEXICA, among some others.
I was born and lived my first years in a rural area of the department of Lavalleja, in a small corner of Uruguay.
Rural school No. 23 in Gaetán saw my first steps, but I finished high school in Montevideo.
All the knowledge acquired in graphic design and illustration was self-taught.
My works are a mirror of my life, an intertwining of my rural roots, the culture of my beloved country and my adaptation to the digital world.
Through my paintings, I seek to capture emotions, thoughts and concepts.
This is me, a housewife with artist aspirations.
