My name is Anna Pavlovich-Naneva, and I am an artist whose life is inextricably intertwined with the act of painting. From the tender age of six, I embarked on a lifelong journey of artistic expression. Forsaking formal art school, I found guidance under the tutelage of a professional mentor, mastering an array of techniques from the delicate strokes of easel painting to the ethereal beauty of gohua, alongside watercolors, illustrations, and sketches.
The world around me serves as my muse. I capture the ephemeral grace of flowers through glazes, the serene stillness of everyday objects, the majestic sweep of landscapes with a palette knife, and the boundless realms of fantasy. Oil painting is my medium of choice, unparalleled in its plasticity and vibrancy. Its ability to produce a spectrum of bright, saturated colors and nuanced shades enables me to evoke profound emotions.
My creative philosophy is one of pure emotion transformed into art. Each story I tell through my work is an intimate narrative of places I have visited, moments I have cherished, and sensations I have felt. These stories, lived and breathed, are preserved in my paintings, infusing my existence with vivid hues and intense emotions.
With over fifteen years of artistic experience, I navigate effortlessly between styles, from the emotive brushstrokes of impressionism to the meticulous detail of hyperrealism and photorealism. My foray into the exhibition world began in the twilight of 2017 when my online portfolio earned me an invitation to an international exhibition in Venice, Italy. This auspicious debut was not merely serendipity but the culmination of dedicated labor and an ardent passion for my craft. Since then, I have been a regular participant in exhibitions and international competitions.
Ever committed to growth, I hold firm to the belief that it is never too late to realize one’s dreams; the pursuit itself is the essence of success. To date, I have created over 240 paintings, many of which have found homes through personal connections, Instagram galleries, and esteemed French online galleries. My work has been honored with first and second place awards at the Art World Expo in the New Tretyakov Gallery in 2022, and second and third places at ArtWeek Russia in the same year.
Among my proudest achievements is knowing that the proceeds from my art have aided sick children. My paintings grace private collections across Russia, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, China, and Italy, and are cherished by European aristocrats who appreciate both paintings and antiques. Each piece I create is a testament to my relentless pursuit of beauty, emotion, and the ineffable joy of artistic expression.
