I am Ambra Montemezzo, an artist born in 1984 in Rome, I attended art high school and the Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in decoration and since 2009 I have been working as a qualified teacher in pictorial disciplines. The internship at the Atelier Contrepoint in Paris (formerly Atelier17) where I acquired Stanley William Hayter's engraving and printing technique was important in my career. I moved to Abruzzo, a place where I found a dimension suited to my spirit, I carry out teaching activities in pictorial disciplines. My approach is constantly aimed at experimentation, I consider in-depth knowledge of techniques and materials essential to better express myself artistically.
I speak and communicate with different languages, all loved with the same intensity: Painting, drawing, copperplate engraving, pyrography on wood , mosaic in stone and glass paste, graffiti on gold leaf.
The faces that come to life under my hands are those of people surprised in ordinary moments, in
moments of reflection and curiosity. Through my art, I try to convey their sensations,
capturing moments of life that remain imprinted forever in the works I create. The paper, the table or the canvas thus become the threshold between reality and fiction, a world in which emotion takes shape and beauty manifests itself in a tangible way.
Every stroke, every nuance and every detail that make up my works are created with
passion and dedication, the result of years of study and practice. My art is the result of a deep
connection with expressiveness and creativity, which pushes me to overcome the boundaries of my imagination.
Numerous competitions, exhibitions and events see me as the protagonist.
