World Art Dubai (WAD), the largest contemporary art fair in the region, is poised to celebrate its 10th edition with a grand showcase of global artistic talent. From May 2nd to May 5th, 2024, the Dubai World Trade Centre, in partnership with Dubai Culture, will host 12 international pavilions representing a rich diversity of cultures and artistic expressions from across the globe. Countries featured include the UAE, America, Asia, China, Europe, the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), India, Iran, Japan, Russia, and the UK, each presenting a unique perspective that transcends geographical boundaries.

The fair is set to feature over 4,000 artworks from more than 65 countries, reflecting Dubai’s role as a melting pot of local and international influences and asserting its position as a global arts hub. These international pavilions are not just showcases but cultural gateways, offering insights into each region's artistic heritage and contemporary creativity, ranging from the traditional to the avant-garde.

Highlighting the local scene, the UAE and GCC Pavilions will display the works of artists like Daria Avdeeva, Javeria Khan, Francine Kaspar, and Hend Rashed, whose pieces blend classical and contemporary styles, showcasing the multicultural identity of the UAE. Additionally, artists from the Middle East, such as Bahrain's Leena Al Ayoobi, Iraq's Nabil Ali, and Lebanon's Lydia Moawad, will demonstrate the diverse artistic styles and influences of the region.

Further afield, the Europe Pavilion, managed by Tablinum Cultural Management, will explore themes of chaos and spirituality through contemporary art. The China Pavilion, represented by Artaflo Collective from Hong Kong, and India's pavilion, featuring dynamic contributions from artists like Sanuj Birla and Raihan R Vadra, will underscore the universal language of art. Meanwhile, Japan’s ‘Japan Tide’ project and Russia’s Pavilion will offer a mix of traditional and hyperrealistic artworks, respectively.

The fair, expecting over 15,000 visitors, will also feature legacy exhibitors like Japan Promotion and Art Plus Photographers Production, and new artists such as Rinko Lim and Liz Ramos-Prado, who bring fresh perspectives to the Dubai art scene. The fair's partnership with Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown, the UAE’s first certified boutique hotel, and support from Al Hathboor Group, further enhances its cultural impact.
